Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is offering an on-site Electrical Engineering internship at our Leeds, AL plant to support reliability and efficiency initiatives. You will work with engineers, maintenance, and operations to troubleshoot and analyze electrical systems, collect data, and help develop practical recommendations.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an Electrical Engineering degree, demonstrates problem-solving ability, and communicates well in a team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Ability to analyze problems and develop solutions.
• Hands-on internship experience in a heavy industrial cement environment.
• Exposure to electrical systems, automation, plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing electrical systems and equipment.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams and operations personnel on plant projects.
• Collect, organize, and interpret technical data to develop practical solutions.
