Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineering intern to support plant reliability, efficiency, and safety in a heavy industrial cement manufacturing environment. The role blends office and field work across the plant, with supervision from engineers and maintenance teams.

Qualified students will gain hands-on experience with electrical systems, controls, and industrial equipment while contributing to preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze problems and develop effective solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a team-oriented environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, or industrial equipment through coursework, projects, or hands-on experience.
• Commitment to safety, learning, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical engineering projects that improve plant reliability, efficiency, and safety.
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing electrical systems and equipment.
• Participate in preventive maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, and operations personnel on plant projects.
• Collect, organize, and interpret technical data to develop practical solutions and recommendations.
