Job summary

Armstrong Group in Macon GA is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience with our products, processes, and test requirements in a manufacturing setting.

You will complete a designated engineering project, troubleshoot electrical equipment, and contribute to capital projects, while gaining exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle and project closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a 3.0 GPA minimum.
• Within 24 months of graduation.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Complete an assigned engineering project during the internship term.
• Troubleshoot electrical manufacturing equipment.
• Contribute to ongoing capital engineering projects in various plant areas.
• Gain exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle, including preparing specs and requirements.
• Coordinate project schedules and use Project Management tools; oversee installation and project closeout.

Electrical Engineer Intern (Macon GA) Job

What You'll Be Doing:

• Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
• Troubleshooting electrical manufacturing equipment
• Contributing to several ongoing capital engineering projects diverse areas of the plant
• Gaining experience and exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
• Preparation of project specifications and requirements
• Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
• Installation oversight, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives

You'll gain valuable experience and exposure to:

• Large scale manufacturing facility and equipment and safe working practices
• Capital engineering projects taking place within varied areas of the plant
• Equipment Reliability to include asset management, process improvement, capital management and execution, contractor integration and management, and development of machine maintenance best practices (PM,PdM, etc.)

Required Qualifications:

• Obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Must be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
