Job summary

Danfoss Climate Solutions invites applications for an Electrical Engineer Intern position in Tallahassee, FL. This on-site role offers hands-on exposure to electrical controls, instrumentation, data acquisition, and maintenance within a collaborative engineering lab environment.

You will support design, maintenance, and documentation using EPLAN, maintain CMMS records, and contribute to safe, efficient lab operations.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical control systems, instrumentation, industrial test equipment, and engineering measurements.
  • Understanding of analog sensor signals (4-20 mA, 1-5 V), data acquisition concepts, and test system fundamentals.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, learn new technologies quickly, and work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
  • Available to work onsite, up to 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters.

  • Support the design, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory electrical control systems, ensuring drawings and technical records remain accurate and up to date using EPLAN.
  • Help configure, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and data acquisition systems that generate the high-quality test data used for engineering decisions.
  • Maintain equipment records, calibration schedules, preventive maintenance plans, and spare parts information within the CMMS, helping improve reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, working closely with engineers, technicians, and controls specialists.
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient laboratory environment by following safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Be Doing
