Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Senior Engineer, Instrumentation to test and validate aircraft systems and sensors across programs such as V-22 and future projects.
The role is onsite in Fort Worth, TX and involves hands-on data acquisition and cross-functional collaboration. You will set up testing for various sensors, capture data with multiple acquisition systems, and work with engineers across groups to advance aircraft technologies.

This position is onsite in Fort Worth, TX.
In the Instrumentation Labs we provide the various programs decision-quality measurements. In this group you will work with many programs across in a wide range of product life cycles to ensure our aircraft can operate safely and efficiently. You will work with established products like V-22, aircraft that are being tested for certifications like 525, new programs like MV-75, emerging products like SPRINT, and the development projects that will shape the future of flight. With a healthy mix of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, we figure out how to get the measurements these programs need and execute those plans to acquire data that will be used for analysis and product improvement.
Test and validate systems and individual aircraft components for structural qualification.
Partner with our various programs to execute tests that will ensure our current products and our future products perform their intended functions.
Set up the testing and capturing data from many different types of sensors, with various Data Acquisition systems we use to capture Test Data, including fatigue test, static test, wind tunnel, ballistic testing, and many others.
Partner with engineers from various groups and technicians to test the next generation of aircraft systems.
Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Electrical Engineering or a similar engineering degree with an emphasis on electrical engineering concepts. Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
Minimum 2 years of professional engineering experience involving testing or data acquisition.
Familiarly with configuring sensors such as thermocouples, strain gages, accelerometers, and LVDT’s, preferred.
Background involving LabView or CAD applications such as AutoCAD would be preferred.
Communication skills to build effective relationships with engineers and technicians while keeping projects organized, on schedule and properly updated.
