We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering team and contribute to the design and delivery of high-performance, integrated building systems.

This role is ideal for a licensed professional who enjoys technical problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, and seeing projects through, from concept to construction. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing safe, efficient, and sustainable electrical systems that support our clients’ goals and the firm’s commitment to design excellence.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • A Strong Technical Engineer You bring deep knowledge of building electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and photovoltaic systems, and apply that expertise thoughtfully across a range of project types.
  • A Collaborative Team Player You work closely with architects, mechanical and plumbing engineers, structural and civil engineers, and consultants to deliver coordinated, integrated design solutions.
  • Design-Focused and Detail-Oriented You value accuracy, constructability, and code compliance and understand how electrical systems support overall building performance and user experience.
  • Comfortable in the Field You are confident participating in site visits, construction observation, and coordination with contractors to ensure design intent is carried through construction.
  • Clear Communicator You communicate effectively through drawings, written documentation, and conversations with clients, consultants, and internal team members.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Design building electrical systems including power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, fire alarm, and photovoltaic systems
  • Support sustainable and high-performance design through system research and lifecycle-based decision-making
  • Participate in facility condition assessments, master planning, and early design studies
  • Coordinate electrical designs with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Prepare 2D and 3D construction documents using Revit
  • Participate in BIM coordination and clash detection meetings
  • Prepare documentation and calculations for code compliance and LEED certification
  • Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction administration
  • Assist with construction observation to verify conformance with design intent
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in institutional building design
  • Proficiency in electrical power distribution, lighting design, fire alarm design, and construction observation
  • Experience using industry software such as Revit, Visual, and Bluebeam
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
  • LEED accreditation or other sustainability-related credentials
  • Experience working in an architectural, engineering, or consulting firm environment
