HDR in Indianapolis is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team. You will design electrical systems for data centers and other facilities, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil disciplines to deliver high-performance buildings.

Responsibilities include developing construction documents, performing calculations, coordinating with clients and project teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
• Experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems).
• Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board for the position offered (PE preferred).
• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power.

HDR is seeking to hire an Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services (BES) team in the Indianapolis office. Our team is looking for a candidate to design data centers for the top technology companies in the world. This person will have the opportunity to partner within our other market sectors including but not limited to Water/Wastewater, Federal, Industrial, and Commercial projects. We have a team with diverse experience and are actively seeking candidates with experience within one or more of the markets we serve. This individual should also have a desire to mentor and train younger electrical engineers.

Primary Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for the electrical design through all phases of the project.This will include coordinating and working closely with clients, project managers, electrical team members, architects, other engineering disciplines, contractors, marketing members, and all other team members. You will be responsible for developing construction documents, specifications, engineering calculations, and performing RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, site investigation and overall construction administration. Passion, self-motivation, and strong leadership skills are a must to deliver technically excellent design solutions for our clients.

• Visit Project Sites as requested or as contractually required to monitor construction progress and prepare field observation reports
• Perform field work and verification of existing conditions where required

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis
• Previous experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems)

Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.

• Strong computer skills using AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, Revit, SKM, AGI and Easy Power
