Guzman Engineering in Houston, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join our team and work on municipal and industrial utility projects. You will help plan, design, and execute electrical systems while collaborating with civil, structural, and mechanical teams.

The ideal candidate brings hands-on AutoCAD/REVIT skills, a strong drive for learning, and a collaborative mindset to deliver high-quality electrical designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required for this role.
• Texas PE License is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform wire and conduit sizing calculations in accordance with NEC and project standards.
• Design markups for CAD production team.
• Conduct load analysis and arc flash studies for low and medium voltage power systems.
• Develop construction drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Execute conduit fill and voltage drop calculations to ensure system compliance and constructability.
• Assist in technical writing and preparation of construction specifications and design reports.
• Support marketing and client meetings by providing technical input and presenting design concepts.
• Collaborate closely with senior engineers for mentorship and project guidance.
• Collaborate closely with design team for camaraderie and growth together.
• Work with the CAD production team to improve drafting standards and CAD efficiency.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design coordination with civil, structural, and mechanical teams.
