Job summary

Airswift is partnering with a leading energy infrastructure company to identify experienced Electrical Engineers (III, Senior, and Staff) for the Project Execution - Power Innovation team in Houston, TX. You will design and optimize electrical systems powering critical infrastructure, pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities.

As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead technical solutions, integrate automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage, and mentor junior engineers.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years experience for III role; 8+ years for Senior; 15+ years for Staff.
  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred for some levels.
  • PE License is preferred for Senior/Staff levels.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks for critical infrastructure.
  • Drive integration of automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and risk-reduction strategies for safety.
  • Provide technical expertise in electrical design, layouts, and schematics for new and upgraded systems.
  • Manage engineering projects from concept through execution within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NEMA, IEEE, API, etc.
  • Collaborate with operations and external partners to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Airswift is partnering with a leading energy infrastructure company to identify experienced Electrical Engineers (III, Senior, and Staff levels) for an exciting opportunity within their Project Execution - Power Innovation team in Houston, TX.

As an Electrical Engineer (III, Senior, or Staff), you will play a critical role in designing and optimizing electrical systems that power essential infrastructur, pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities. This is a high-impact opportunity to lead technical solutions, integrate advanced technologies, and directly influence reliability, safety, and operational performance across our assets.

You’ll work on complex, large-scale projects while collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying cutting-edge solutions such as automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure
  • Drive the integration of advanced technologies (automation, real-time monitoring, energy storage) to improve system efficiency and reliability
  • Implement safety-focused solutions including arc flash mitigation, fault detection, and risk-reduction strategies

  • Manage engineering projects from concept through execution, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical, environmental, and regulatory standards (NEC, NEMA, IEEE, API, etc.)
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and external partners to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
  • Mentor and support development of junior engineers (Senior/Staff levels) and contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Education and Experience:
Staff:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university and (15) fifteen years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited college or university
  • Preferred: PE License
Senior:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or universityand eight (8) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry
  • Preferred: PE License
III:
  • Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering field from an ABET accredited college or university from an ABET accredited college or university and four (4) years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industry.
  • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Technical & Professional Requirements
  • Strong commitment to safety, with demonstrated application in engineering design and execution
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC, NEMA, IEEE, API, etc.)
  • Experience reviewing and improving arc flash studies
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general engineering tools
  • Preferred experience with:
  • PLC and HMI systems
  • Instrumentation design and implementation
  • Project management methodologies
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
