Job description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Facility Electrical Engineer for our High Performance Facilities (HFP) business unit in our Greenwood Village, CO; San Antonio, TX; Merritt Island, FL; Huntsville, AL; Albuquerque, NM; Boise, ID; or Chamblee, GA offices.

This position requires a competent professional engineer responsible for all phases of engineering production and BIM, from programming through construction administration. An agreed-upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, is available to employees in good standing.

Annual salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - $133,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  1. Design electrical systems for facilities for Government, Military, University, and private clients.
  2. Provide conceptual and detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution (600V), site power distribution (15kV), emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm/mass notification, security, access control, and special systems.
  3. Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications.
  4. Possess extensive knowledge of electrical regulatory codes.
  5. Meet with clients to prepare and validate proposed scope of work.
  6. Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work, and write and edit specifications.
  7. Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure accuracy, meet schedule and budget commitments, and uphold attendance and punctuality standards.
  8. Work in a team environment, including directing and mentoring junior engineers and designers, and delegating tasks as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Eight (8) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design.
  2. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  3. Minimum eight (8) years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing tools.
  4. Experience with electrical calculation tools such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel & Word.
  6. Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE.
  7. Ability to travel as needed.
  8. U.S. Citizenship is required for client projects.
