Qualifications

Job description

OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Facility Electrical Engineer for our High Performance Facilities (HFP) business unit in our Greenwood Village, CO; San Antonio, TX; Merritt Island, FL; Huntsville, AL; Albuquerque, NM; Boise, ID; or Chamblee, GA offices.

This position requires a competent professional engineer who will be responsible for all phases of engineering production and BIM for a variety of work ranging from programming through construction administration. An agreed upon hybrid schedule, working from both home and office, is available to employees in good standing.

Annual salary range for this position is $103,000.00 - $133,000.00. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Design electrical systems for facilities for Government, Military, University, and private clients.
  • Provide conceptual / detailed design and analysis for facility power distribution (600V), site power distribution (15kV), emergency power generation, grounding and lightning protection, lighting design, telecommunications (voice/data), fire alarm / mass notification, security, access control, and special systems.
  • Provide supporting documentation such as calculations, reports, and specifications.
  • Possess extensive knowledge on electrical regulatory codes.
  • Meet with clients to prepare and/or validate proposed scope of work.
  • Prepare fee proposals for engineering design work. Write and edit specifications.
  • Work with other disciplines to ensure accuracy of the package, meet schedule, and budget commitments and meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
  • Work in a design team environment, including directing and mentoring the work of junior engineers and designers, and delegating work as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eight (8) years of experience in facility Electrical Engineering design.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience using REVIT/AutoCAD or other design software-based drawing generation.
  • Experience using electrical calculation tools is required, including lighting and power software such as AGi32, Elum Tools, SKM Power Tools, ETAP, and EasyPower.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Excel & Word.
  • Experience with technical codes such as NEC, NESC, NFPA, IEEE is required.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
