Job summary

RTM Engineering Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to join our multi-disciplinary team. You will apply electrical design knowledge to create construction drawings for the project owner and provide ongoing support through the construction process.

You will coordinate with the design team and client, contribute to proposals, and supervise junior engineers. A 4-year engineering degree and 3–5 years of experience are required, with travel 0–10%.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Engineering required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience.
• Expert knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Knowledge of engineering drafting standards.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering standards and other trades.
• Demonstrable understanding of construction process and interpretation of construction drawings.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Provides complete management of project timelines and related design activity communication between the design team and the client/customer, accurately & timely.
• Prepares accurate proposals and engineering agreements per company standards.
• Produces electrical design elements and construction documents for permitting.
• Mentors junior engineers and designers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensures QA/QC processes are followed and coordinates with in-house and outside sources.
