Iris Technology Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer III to design electronics for space and tactical applications in Irvine, CA. You will own hardware development from requirements through verification, focusing on analog/digital and power electronics with robust, tested hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on bring-up, testing, and collaboration across mechanical, firmware/software, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable hardware that meets stringent space and military-grade

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Typically 7+ years of relevant electronic hardware design experience.
• Demonstrated strength in at least one area: analog/mixed-signal design, digital hardware design, or power electronics.
• Experience taking circuit or PCB designs from concept through prototype bring-up and verification.
• Proficiency with schematic capture, circuit analysis or simulation, and laboratory test equipment.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills and the ability to identify and resolve hardware design issues.
• Ability to work independently on assigned designs and communicate technical decisions clearly across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own circuit and board-level designs, including requirements definition, architecture, schematic development, component selection, and PCB layout guidance.
• Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and/or power circuitry aligned with your expertise and assigned products.
• Perform circuit simulations and design analyses to verify performance, margins, and reliability.
• Lead hands-on board bring-up, troubleshooting, integration, and design verification.
• Develop test procedures and document results demonstrating compliance with product requirements.
• Prepare and present technical analyses, design review packages, and engineering recommendations.
• Collaborate with mechanical, firmware/software, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to deliver producible, reliable hardware.
• Support qualification, production transition, and resolution of hardware issues.
