Job summary

AECOM seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer III to join our Energy team. This hybrid position blends office work with remote flexibility and opportunities to lead small scopes.

You will work on electrical infrastructure projects, apply ETAP/SKM, and mentor entry-level engineers while growing into larger leadership roles.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or EIT with the ability to obtain PE within twelve (12) months.
• Experience in electrical engineering for energy infrastructure or industrial projects.
• Experience with electrical analysis and modeling tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM).

Responsibilities

• Perform specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
• Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
• Work on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
• Propose approaches to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
• Identify discrepancies in results.
• Provide guidance to entry level engineers.
• Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
• Independently perform all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
• Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Electrical or Power Systems Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant experience working at an environmental consulting firm
• Exposure to complex, multidisciplinary project environments in the
• Experience in Oil & Gas
• Understanding of Power generation, Chemical, Refining and Mining industries
