Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical distribution designs, one-line diagrams, and technical docs.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Use ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for analysis.
• Collaborate with PMs, estimators, and field teams to resolve issues.
• Support equipment selection, design-build coordination, and commissioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and review deliverables.

I'm recruiting for an Electrical Engineer III to join a leading, employee-owned electrical contractor delivering some of the most exciting and technically challenging projects across the U.S.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who understands both power distribution design and the realities of construction.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Developing electrical distribution designs, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Performing load flow, short-circuit, coordination, and arc-flash studies.
• Using electrical engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
• Working closely with project managers, estimators, and field teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Supporting equipment selection, design-build coordination, and commissioning.
• Mentoring junior engineers and reviewing technical deliverables.

What We're Looking For:

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license - REQUIRED.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong background in electrical power distribution and system studies.
• Experience with NEC requirements and electrical design for construction.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
• Ability to translate engineering calculations into practical, constructible solutions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
