You will generate component and assembly drawings and help document vehicle electrical architecture. Responsibilities include collaborating with suppliers to improve quality, cost, and technology, performing tolerance studies, and managing project schedules and budgets to meet requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
  • 2+ years of engineering experience required.
  • Experience with CANbus, SAP and NX CAD preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop various electrical systems including motors, ECUs, switches, relays, wire harnesses, displays, and lighting.
  • Develop component and assembly level engineering drawings.
  • Assist in design and documentation of vehicle electrical architecture.
  • Review supplier designs for quality and cost to reduce issues and costs.
  • Review and create functional specifications and design standards.
  • Perform tolerance studies and develop drawings for components and assemblies.
  • Manage validation testing and DFMEA test plans for product validation.
  • Conduct cross-functional design reviews and DFA/DFM assessments.
  • Collaborate with outside suppliers to develop new technologies and cost reductions.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets to meet requirements.
