Job summary

PowerTec Distribution & Motor Control Corporation in Tucson seeks an Industrial Paint Laborer to support the manufacturing department in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components. The role also collaborates with the engineering team on projects to ensure proper integration and performance.

Ideal candidates will understand electrical concepts, follow directions precisely, and have knowledge of wiring doors and panels, along with OSHA/MSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is required or substituted with 10 years hands-on experience.
• High School Diploma with 10 years hands-on training can substitute for degree.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides advanced level support to the manufacturing department.
• Explores, designs, develops, and maintains electrical systems and equipment.
• Creates system models demonstrating control system performance.
• Creates blueprint and schematics that define how electrical components interact.
• Builds prototypes to test concepts.
• Troubleshoots electrical equipment such as motor starters, switch gears, and buckets.
• Reviews schematics to ensure proper safe handling and equipment needed.
• Takes inventory of projects, gathers equipment, and installs equipment.
• Ensures doors are wired according to schematics.
• Verifies and tests assigned metrics on projects.
• Ensures compliance with client quality standards.
• Identifies and reports problems observed outside of schematics.
• Other duties as assigned.
