Job summary

ACCIONA Energía in Chicago seeks an Electrical Engineer to review and optimize electrical designs for utility-scale wind and PV projects, focusing on LV/MV collection systems, feeders, grounding, substations, and electrical BOP.

You will perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash analyses; develop criteria and specifications per NEC, IEEE, NESC and UL; evaluate major equipment; and provide cross-functional support across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and O&M, including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of relevant utility/power plant design experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems and industry standards.
• Spanish language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review and optimize electrical designs for wind and PV projects.
• Perform load flow, short-circuit, arc-flash studies.
• Develop design criteria and technical specs per NEC/IEEE/NESC/UL.
• Evaluate major electrical equipment and bid submittals.
• Provide cross-functional engineering support across teams.
• Support construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
