Job summary

FTI in Indiana is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to perform electrical power, lighting and low-voltage system engineering on construction projects under supervision. Proficiency with PC, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and Revit is required, along with NEC knowledge.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical or Architectural Engineering or an Associate in Electrical Technology and either 2 years of progressive electrical engineering experience or 6 years with an Associate.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering required.
2 years of progressive electrical engineering experience or 6 years with an Associate degree.
Travel 5-10%.

Responsibilities

Guides Level 1 Engineers and Designers.
Performs detailed calculations to establish construction standards and specs.
Prepares technical drawings and electrical specs to meet standards and customer requirements.
Plans layout of electrical construction projects.
Conducts field surveys and analyzes data to identify power system issues.
Discusses projects with internal and external customers.
Ensures construction activities comply with specs, codes, and customer needs.
Inspects installations for conformance with design/equipment specs.
Compiles data and writes reports on engineering studies and projects.
Operates CAD/engineering software and equipment for tasks.
