Job summary

LJC Design & Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer II in Chicago to develop detailed electrical designs and provide engineering support during construction. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and possess over 5 years of experience. Key responsibilities include creating power plans, performing electrical load studies, and collaborating with project teams. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive salary range of $120,000 to $155,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applicable experience in electrical engineering.
• Completion of FE exam is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of National Electrical Code and applicable Building Codes.
• Understanding of short circuit current evaluation and arc flash analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical installation drawings for building systems.
• Create power, grounding, and lighting plans using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Provide technical support to project managers and designers.
• Consult with vendors to review project shop drawings.
