RTX's Hardware Engineering Organization in Portsmouth, RI, is seeking a full-time Electrical Engineer II to join the USS Department. You will design analog, digital, mixed-signal, or power circuits, support integration, and collaborate across disciplines to solve complex challenges. A bachelor's in electrical engineering and relevant design experience are required.

U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD security clearance are mandatory.

TheRaytheon Hardware Engineering Organization leads the hardware design, development and production support of a wide breadth of air, land, sea, and space systems. Hardware Engineering’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.

Within the Hardware Engineering Organization, theUndersea & Electronics Systems (UES) Department leads the mechanical and electrical design, development, and integration of a diverse set of products, including but not limited to undersea sensors and analysis, naval platforms, shipboard/ground-based processing and power equipment, and launchers.

The USS department is looking for full-timeElectrical Engineer II, located in Portsmouth, RI.

What You Will Do:
  • Perform technical design experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power Design.
  • Support the factory and suppliers with product integration
  • Collaborate across multiple disciplines/functions to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Validate design functionality by rapid prototyping and/or simulation
  • Participate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.
  • Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required. International and longer duration travel assignments are available but optional
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major
  • Technical design or coursework experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power Design
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience in the specification, design, development, production and testing of undersea systems and electronics packaging. Knowledge of design for long term submergence, sealing, and corrosion resistance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience on DoD programs.

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
