Job summary

OrthAlign, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support hardware design and manufacturing of sensor-based medical devices. You will prototype, test, investigate failures, and improve performance across cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities include designing, building, and testing prototypes, executing test plans, validating new features, and maintaining documentation. The role emphasizes collaboration, problem solving, and delivering robust, manufacturable electronics.

Qualifications

• Experience designing, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting electronic systems.
• Familiarity with DC/DC converters, power management, sensor interfaces, and embedded systems.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design/layout tools; Altium preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic issues using oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators.
• Analyze test results, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support component selection, qualification, and end-of-life replacement activities.
• Design, build, and test electrical prototypes and engineering development units.
• Develop and execute electrical and system-level test plans to evaluate performance.
