Job summary

Applied Medical in Rancho Santa Margarita, California, seeks an Electrical Engineer in Product Development to design and develop electrical systems for medical devices, perform analog and digital circuit work, and manage projects from concept through production release.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop schematics and PCB layouts, document tests, ensure design control and regulatory compliance, and prototype iteratively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Electronics troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and lab gear.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to convey hardware/firmware details to all levels.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for medical devices, including schematics, PCB layouts and integration.
• Create and maintain schematics, wiring diagrams and docs.
• Perform analog/digital circuit design for high-speed signals (USB, etc.).
• Support prototyping, PCB fabrication, testing and iteration.
• Manage development projects from concept to production release.
• Provide cross-functional engineering support across teams.
