Job summary

Newcomb & Boyd, a multi-discipline engineering firm in Atlanta, GA, seeks an Electrical Engineer II to design electrical building systems and lead design efforts on small to medium projects. The role requires a strong Revit background, 3+ years in the AEC industry, and familiarity with building codes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience in the AEC industry.
• Proficient in Revit and discipline-specific software; strong grasp of building codes and design standards.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of discipline-specific electrical systems for small to medium projects.
• Assist senior engineers with complex designs, plans, and calculations.
• Perform calculations and simulations.
• Review product submittals and shop drawings.
• Respond to RFIs for assigned scope.
• Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
• Prepare technical documentation and participate in project meetings.
• Ensure project delivery within agreed schedules and budgets.
• Comply with QA/QC procedures and assist in developing project workplans.
• Office-based with regular site visits; adhere to safety requirements.
