Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Systems in Chandler, AZ seeks an Associate Electrical Engineer I/II to support cradle-to-grave electrical subsystems for interceptor vehicles. Work spans design, analysis, testing, and integration across multiple vehicle programs.

This dual-level posting requires strong CAD drafting for cable systems, plus teamwork and problem-solving in a fast-paced IPT environment.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering and 2 years' experience or MS with 0 years experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance required.
• Experience with CAD drafting for cable systems and electrical/telecom/fiber optics.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed cable layout drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams using CAD software (Teamcenter, Visio).
• Translate specs into build-ready designs for power, telecom, or fiber optics.
• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, and construction teams to meet documentation requirements.
• Maintain and update design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Optimize cable routing for cost-effectiveness and installability.
• Review and revise designs based on feedback and site conditions.
