Job summary

Raytheon in Plano seeks a Development Support Electrical Engineer II to collaborate with manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality, and other engineering teams to resolve production issues across hardware subsystems within the Advanced Radar Department.

The role supports the Cabin Production Design Support for the Advanced Airborne Sensor program, with responsibilities including circuit/CCA troubleshooting, hardware evaluations, and driving improvements while maintaining strict security

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in a role such as design engineer, production support engineer, network engineer, or process engineer.
• Experience with analysis of technical data.
• Experience with schematic drawings to assist in troubleshooting efforts.
• Experience with standard engineering lab equipment.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting hardware and issues down to Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), server, switch, and/or component levels to include analog/digital/power circuitry and interfaces.
• Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner.
• Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities.
• Communicate to program leadership status updates.
• Partnering in the development of test equipment and establishment of test requirements and procedures.
• Ability to travel periodically to different Raytheon facilities, suppliers, and/or customer sites to support in-person meetings and system integration efforts (up to 25%).
