Job summary

Briggs & Stratton in Atlanta area seeks a Manufacturing Engineer II to design, test, and optimize electrical/electronic assemblies for new and existing products. You will develop testing methods, ensure compliance with engineering standards, and collaborate across departments to drive product quality and cost efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least three years of professional engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of electrical/electronic control circuits and systems.
• Broad understanding of electrical/electronic components and their uses in power systems.
• Knowledge of standards and regulations related to electronics and manufacturing.
• Knowledge of applicable technologies and/or products.
• Strong communication skills to explain designs and logic.
• Fluent in English as the primary language of the area.

Responsibilities

• Designs and troubleshoots electrical/electronic assemblies and systems
• Confirms system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods; testing properties
• Adheres to new product development processes across Concept Analysis, Business Case, and post-launch steps
• Recommends manufacturing methods during design of new products or process changes
• Acts as a liaison between departments as necessary
• Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.
• Develops engineering test standards where applicable
• Performs other duties as assigned
