Job summary

Ideal Aerosmith in Grand Forks, ND designs, develops, integrates, tests, and troubleshoots electrical systems used in aerospace test and motion-control solutions. The role spans servo systems, motors and drives, feedback devices, industrial controls, power systems, and hardware/software integration.

Travel is approximately 25%+, with collaboration across engineering teams and customers to deliver robust electrical solutions that meet quality and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
• US citizenship, permanent resident, or protected status per contract requirements.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Apply electrical engineering principles to design and develop system components.
• Create detailed drawings, wiring diagrams, and component specs.
• Develop system integration docs, user manuals, and support materials.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure ease of assembly and maintenance.
• Review SOWs and assess impact on design and testing.
• Develop, coordinate, and execute test procedures for compliance with standards.
• Partner with engineers, PMs, and customers to deliver engineering solutions.
• Provide expert electrical support during integration and service activities.
• Prepare estimates for materials, labor, and project schedules.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and ISO 9001 compliance.
