Electrical Engineer II

Location: Salem, NH, US, 03079

Work Arrangement: Onsite

The Role

You’ll be creating new electronic designs for the next generation of marking and coding equipment. Working with suppliers and technical teams to maintain production continuity and validate hardware. We have a challenging, fast paced environment where you’ll work alongside FPGA developers, software engineers, mechanical and reliability engineers to understand specifications and then implement designs based on these requirements. Performing a wide variety of complex electrical, software or support duties in development and implementation of test, debugging or documentation of electronics designs, as well as design and build test benches for product validation and reliability testing.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement new hardware designs based on requirements specifications.
  • Perform circuit analysis and simulations to ensure correct operation over all environmental factors.
  • Develop and implement hardware test plans.
  • Design and document interconnects and harnesses.
  • Observe requirements for design for manufacturing, test, field service and cost.
  • Interface with other engineering teams, stakeholders and customers to understand the application space and business requirements.
  • Support current products by finding design solutions to obsolete components and designs.
  • Communicate with OEM manufacturers and third‑party engineering partners to facilitate design and verification solutions.
  • Follow best practices and procedures to improve design quality.
  • Participate in electrical and cross‑functional design reviews.
  • Work hands‑on with PLC’s, Arduino, Raspberry Pi and/or other electrical hardware.
  • Collect and process data, document, and report test results.
  • Provide understandable feedback to software and reliability engineers.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Firmware and Hardware Verification. Master’s degree a plus.
  • The ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics.
  • The ability to read and write simple to mid complexity VHDL code for an FPGA.
  • Experience with circuit design, analysis, and SPICE simulations.
  • Experience with common electronic instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, waveform generators and precision multimeters.
  • Embedded C programming a plus.
  • Experience with PLC programming, Arduino or custom hardware/software test bed.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as Ethernet, USB, serial, SPI, I2C.
  • Experience with fine‑pitch electronic circuit assembly and rework.

Pay Range

$82,000.00 – $123,000.00 annually
