Job summary

Oceaneering is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to space flight electronics and equipment development for missions to the Space Station, Moon, and Mars.

You will design, analyze, test, and deploy electronics, collaborating across teams while owning your work and ensuring quality. A BS in electrical engineering and up to 5 years of experience are typical for this role.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Recent graduate with no corporate experience up to 5 years.
  • Hands-on experience in the design, analysis, production, and testing of digital and analog circuits.
  • Knowledge of electrical design software tools: Altium, SVN, SPICE, LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge and experience with laboratory test equipment including logic, spectrum, and power analyzers, Oscilloscopes, signal generators, and emulators for processors/microcontrollers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • US citizen

Required

A Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering. Recent graduate with no corporate experience up to and including 5 years of corporate experience.

Hands‑on experience in the design, analysis, production, and testing of digital and analog circuits.

Knowledge of electrical design software tools: Altium and SVN version control for design collaboration, SPICE, and Lab‑view.

Knowledge and experience with laboratory test equipment including logic, spectrum, and power analyzers, Oscilloscopes, signal generators, and emulators for processors/microcontrollers.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

US citizen

Desired

Familiarity with the space radiation environment, electromagnetic environment, physical launch environments, and thermal heat dissipation at ambient and vacuum conditions.

Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility analysis and testing and aerospace/ government requirements and guidelines.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Reporting Relationship: This position reports to the Electrical Engineering Group Manager. Monitoring and technical supervision will often come from more senior design engineers.
