About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to provide electrical engineering expertise supporting compressor station facilities, expansion projects, and maintenance capital projects. This role will work closely with Project Execution, Transmission, Operations, Construction, Supply Chain, and Shared Services teams while providing technical oversight to third-party engineering firms.

The ideal candidate is an electrical engineer who enjoys working across the full project lifecycle—from scope development and design review through construction and commissioning—and who has experience applying electrical codes, industry standards, company standards, and equipment specifications to real-world infrastructure projects.

What You'll Do
  • Support development of electrical project scopes, schedules, capital cost estimates, execution plans, and risk assessments.
  • Ensure electrical facilities and designs comply with applicable regulations, electrical codes, industry standards, and corporate engineering standards.
  • Provide technical oversight of electrical design work performed by third-party engineering firms, ensuring deliverables meet project budget and schedule requirements.
  • Review and approve electrical engineering deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, equipment/material lists, and design documentation.
  • Review vendor quotations and technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations based on technical merit, cost, and delivery requirements.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain to support equipment and material procurement.
  • Provide electrical engineering support to Construction teams during project execution, construction, and commissioning.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
  • Partner with Project Managers, Facilities Project Engineering, Operations, Construction, Transmission, and other internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues and keep projects moving.
  • Support department initiatives and business priorities as needed.
  • Help ensure project scopes address applicable regulatory, environmental, health, and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of professional engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, applicable codes, industry standards, and engineering practices.
  • Ability to review and interpret engineering drawings, technical reports, equipment specifications, and material documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license/designation.
  • Experience supporting compressor stations, natural gas transmission, pipeline, midstream, energy, or other industrial facilities.
  • Experience with electrical infrastructure design, facility projects, or capital projects.
  • Experience overseeing or reviewing work performed by engineering consulting firms/EPC contractors.
  • Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities.
  • Experience with electrical equipment procurement, vendor technical evaluations, and equipment specifications.
  • Ability to apply established standards while determining when modifications or alternative approaches may be appropriate.

This position is approximately 80% office-based and 20% field-based, with field time focused on project scoping, construction support, and commissioning activities.

You'll work with multiple project teams and stakeholders, managing time-sensitive engineering deliverables and providing technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle.

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to take ownership of meaningful electrical engineering work supporting critical compressor station and transmission infrastructure. You'll have visibility across project development, engineering design, procurement, construction, and commissioning while collaborating with a broad range of technical and operational teams.
