Job summary

Platform Aerospace is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support the design of electrical systems for aircraft installations and rapid modification projects. You will work under supervision to create schematics, harness diagrams, and integration data for UAVs and ground stations.

The role involves collaborating with mechanical, aerospace, and software teams, maintaining avionics data packages, and planning tests to FAA/DoD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 0-2 years of professional experience in software development for system level integration and testing.
• Familiar with debugging PCBs and electrical systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Responsibilities

• Assist other Senior Engineers with electrical schematics and harness diagrams for UAVs and ground station.
• Support COTS avionics interconnections to baseline electrical systems.
• Maintain and update the custom avionics technical data packages.
• Manage aircraft power budget (generation capacity vs power draw).
• Create manufacturing and integration technical data packages (schematics, BOMs, instructions).
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, aerospace, and software teams for changes.
• Plan and estimate schedule, budget, and tasks for feature changes.
