Job summary

The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) seeks an entry-level Electrical Engineer I to perform routine engineering functions on defined projects under supervision. You will apply standard mathematical and engineering techniques across design, documentation and test activities.

You will aid in creating product definitions, drawings and test procedures, while supporting tooling and equipment needs and collaborating with internal teams to resolve design and production issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET-accredited university in Engineering or Physics.
• Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
• Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management.
• United States Citizenship.
• Regular and reliable attendance is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance if required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in design and project management of new and current projects under guidance.
• Assists in preparation of product/ project definitions, drawings, specs, procedures.
• Assists in development of test procedures and routine to moderately complex tests.
• Defines and acquires tooling, cables, and equipment to ensure product quality.
• Interacts with design agencies, suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Evaluates technologic advances to improve productivity and quality.
