Job summary

PSEG Long Island LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Integrated Planning & Grid Innovation group. The role focuses on developing REV capabilities and advancing DSP and AMI-enabled planning. You will collaborate across teams to implement system optimizations and support grid modernization.

The position provides on-site and hybrid work options with a strong emphasis on technical analysis, data-driven decision making and leadership to drive NY Rev initiatives forward.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Clear and concise writing and verbal communications skills.
• Effective problem-solving, planning, organizing, and results orientation.
• Leadership, professionalism and customer focus.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with safe driving history.
• Compliance with DOE 10 CFR 810 where applicable.
• Electrical utility experience and familiarity with T&D systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct AMI voltage analysis to optimize voltages across the LIPA system.
• Research technology used by other utilities to enhance planning practice.
• Perform detailed power system studies and implement field solutions.
• Lead and align projects with NY Rev initiatives and DPS orders.
• Develop tools and models for hosting capacity and DER interconnection.
• Collaborate with Data Analytics to implement AMI data use cases.
• Ensure timely execution of Utility 2.0 deliverables with internal/external groups.
• Analyze power system concepts and observe results from simulations and pilots.
