Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an Electrical Engineer I in Schaumburg, IL for a 6–12 month, onsite assignment. The role focuses on testing, evaluation, and certification of digital sub‑circuit designs for radio communication products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams in a hands‑on lab environment.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 1–3 years of experience with digital circuits. Proficiency with Python is required; C experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience with digital circuits and digital board design.
• Proficiency reading schematics and reviewing PCB layouts.
• Hands‑on experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, multimeters, and other test equipment.
• Digital sub‑circuit design and testing experience.
• Python experience required.
• C experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast‑paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate digital sub‑circuit‑level designs and PCB changes.
• Read schematics and navigate/review PCB layouts.
• Perform in‑circuit measurements and troubleshoot electrical design issues.
• Complete certification test plans and assist with product validation.
• Operate oscilloscopes, multimeters, bench power supplies, and other lab equipment.
• Investigate and resolve design issues and support existing products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams on product requirements and design specifications.
• Perform minor soldering and hands‑on lab testing as needed.
