Job summary

Honeywell is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join the Controls Engineering Team in Arvada, CO. You will handle electrical and instrumentation on pump and compressor production orders, working on-site with a management team.

Responsibilities include instrumentation/control tasks, PLC/HMI development, and generation of P&ID diagrams, while applying NEC/IEC/ISA standards. Travel to customer sites is possible; the role expects collaboration across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (or equivalent).
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Understanding of basic P&ID diagrams.
• Familiarity with PLC and HMI platforms, control system design and networks.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic instrumentation and control system engineering tasks and calculations with minimal direction.
• Performs specification research and assists in development of technical documents.
• Develops P&ID's and associated I/O, and designs junction boxes and control panels.
• Develop PLC programs, HMI configurations and control system networks; FAT and panel test and verification.
• Works as part of a team on design projects and supports Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professionalism with internal and external customers and plans communications effectively.
• Applies NFPA70 (NEC), IEC, IECEx, ATEX, CSA, ISA and UL standards to projects.
• Some travel to customer sites for design reviews and field support.
