Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Hardware Engineering Center in McKinney, TX, to support military programs with digital, analog, EO/IR electronics, and IC design. You will work in multi-discipline teams on circuit design, verification, and production support.

The role emphasizes experience with lab equipment, design tools, and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance. Onsite work is required with a strong focus on producibility and mission assurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM field.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• Experience documenting test results and repair recommendations and reading schematics.
• Understanding Ethernet, UDP and 1588 protocols.
• Familiarity with EE lab equipment (VNA, power meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs).
• Proficiency with design tools such as Matlab, LabVIEW, Genesys, PSPICE, HFSS, AutoCAD and Mentor tools.

Responsibilities

• EO/IR, digital, analog, sustaining and production electronics support.
• Digital/analog/FPGA/VHDL programming and ASIC support.
• Transistor-level analog and EO/IR IC design using modern semiconductor tech.
• Participate in detailed circuit design as a team member.
• Configurable digital logic development using VHDL.
• Functional analysis and verification testing.
• Troubleshoot with production/engineering to provide root-cause and corrective actions.
