About the Role

The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for overseeing electrical maintenance activities at the plant. This role ensures electrical project work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with environmental requirements. The position also supports planning, scheduling, and execution of control system activities to maximize equipment utilization and reliability.

This role participates in a 16-month cement manufacturing learning and development program designed to provide foundational knowledge and hands‑on experience across major plant operations through blended learning, on‑the‑job assignments, and project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote and adhere to all safety policies and safe work practices.
  • Support electrical safety initiatives for employees and contractors.
  • Supervise electrical and instrumentation technicians in executing daily work orders and assigned projects.
  • Support electrical preventive and predictive maintenance programs, including systematic inspections and diagnostic analysis of plant electrical equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of electrical schematics and spare parts inventory.
  • Ensure system programming complies with environmental requirements.
  • Maintain system documentation including equipment files, compliance records, specifications, and repair history.
  • Evaluate computer control equipment and components to ensure alignment with plant requirements.
  • Define, write, and implement updates to existing process control programs.
  • Provide control system training and technical guidance to plant personnel.
  • Troubleshoot control system hardware and software issues.
Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Preferred Field of Study:

Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience:

1–3 years of relevant experience.

Additional Requirements:

  • Self-starter with strong motivation and team collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Must adhere to all safety protocols and properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respirators where applicable.
  • Employees required to wear respirators must meet fit-test requirements.
