AEI is seeking an Electrical Engineer I in Detroit to work under mentorship with seasoned engineers while mentoring designers. You will perform load calculations, determine system sizing, and review shop drawings, gradually leading project teams and writing specifications as experience grows.
Responsibilities include client meetings, coordination with consultants, and supporting construction-phase work. Candidates should have an ABET-accredited degree, a 2.5 GPA, and internship exposure in MEP
Why we need you:
In this role, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading electrical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work.
