Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Detroit is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support load calculations, determine system sizing and layouts, calculate equipment sizes, select equipment, complete field surveys, and review equipment shop drawings under mentorship.

As you gain project experience, you will lead electrical project teams, write specifications, participate in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and support construction-phase work across disciplines at AEI.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited BSEE/BSAE required.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • EIT certification (FE exam) a plus.
  • Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.

Electrical Engineer I – Detroit

Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading electrical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work.

Expertise of our most successful Electrical Engineer I:

  • BSEE/BSAE from ABET accredited school.
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5.
  • Non-academic internship.
  • Leadership involvement in extracurricular activities/student organizations preferred.
  • EIT certification (Passed the FE exam) a plus.
  • Internship experience in the MEP consulting engineering field preferred.
