Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Chapel Hill is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support energy-efficient building solutions. The role requires a BSEE/BSAE degree and involves load calculations, equipment sizing, and mentorship. Ideal candidates will have strong communications skills and relevant internship experience. Qualifications

Responsibilities

In this role, you will initially work with and be mentored by experienced engineers and will yourself help to mentor designers. Your initial assignments will include performing load calculations, determining system sizing and layouts, calculating equipment sizes, selecting equipment, completing field surveys, and reviewing equipment shop drawings. As you gain project experience, you will take on a greater role in leading electrical project teams, writing specifications, participating in project meetings with clients and other consultants, and supporting construction-phase work.
