Job summary

Vanderweil Engineers in Newark, NJ is seeking an Electrical Engineer with 5+ years of related experience. The role involves designing power distribution, lighting, and emergency power, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, and delivering project documents for large-scale buildings.

Revit proficiency is essential. The position offers a hybrid schedule (2 days remote per week) and a compensation range of $80,000 to $110,000 plus yearly bonus, reflecting licensure, education, and project

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
5+ years of related experience.
Revit knowledge is a plus.
Familiarity with BIM coordination workflows and tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud and Navisworks.
Organizational and time-management abilities.

Responsibilities

Develop project documents for large-scale, complex building projects and coordinate with Architect, Mechanical, Plumbing, and Structural engineers to ensure electrical systems are integrated.
Serve as design engineer on projects from schematic design to construction across diverse typologies.
Design power distribution, lighting, and standby power in accordance with NEC codes.
Be familiar with codes and standards applicable to the project.
