Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Converting in Wisconsin is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and maintain electrical control systems for packaging machinery. Roles are primarily hybrid at our Green Bay facility, with onsite and hybrid options in other locations.

Responsibilities include drafting layouts in CAD, developing specs, performing technical analyses, and supporting manufacturing teams. Candidates typically have a BSEE and 0–2 years of experience, with PLC/HMI/Servo and manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related engineering field required.
• Minimum 0-2 years of experience for Level I consideration.
• Eplan or AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.
• Experience with PLC, HMI, Servo.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the design team in machinery design from inception to completion that is extensive and complex, involving original design work and selection of components and materials.
• Develop engineering specifications and original design concepts.
• Provide detailed technical analysis of equipment.
• Provide machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies.
• Test and debug equipment to isolate defects
• Prepare layouts using CAD tools
• Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes
• Evaluate new parts
• Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for moderately complex equipment
• Support manufacturing/assembly teams
• May travel to customer site to support field teams with technical assistance as required
• Other duties as assigned
