Actalent is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our 100% employee-owned engineering and infrastructure team in a hybrid Louisville, KY role. You will design utility-scale BESS projects, support from concept through IFC, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience in BESS, renewables, or power systems. This role offers growth into leadership and mentorship across energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 4+ years of electrical engineering experience.
• Experience in BESS, renewables, power generation, substations, transmission & distribution, or power systems.
• Experience developing electrical design packages, one-line diagrams, and construction documents.
• Strong communication and ability to work across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Design utility-scale BESS projects, including conceptual layouts, one-line diagrams, and electrical design packages.
• Support projects from early concept through Issued for Construction (IFC).
• Evaluate energy storage technologies and vendors.
• Develop and review electrical plans, specifications, reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Work across renewable energy, power generation, substations, transmission, distribution, and microgrid projects.
• Partner with civil, structural, high-voltage, SCADA, telecommunications, and other engineering disciplines.
• Provide construction support including RFIs, submittal reviews, and change orders.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers.

Were looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a nationally recognized engineering and infrastructure consulting firm supporting some of the most exciting work happening across Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy, substations, transmission, and power delivery.

Youll work on utility-scale energy projects from early concept through construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. This is a great opportunity to deepen your BESS expertise, take ownership of technical work, and continue growing into a leadership role within a 100% employee-owned organization.

What Youll Do

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Louisville, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
