Job summary

Daikin Applied Americas Inc. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electrical power and control systems for HVAC chillers, including VFD-driven PM motors and medium-voltage power supplies.

You will craft electrical schematics, test control panels, and support troubleshooting, commissioning, and validation across lab, manufacturing, and field environments. Travel domestically and internationally may be required. On-site in Plymouth, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with GPA 3.5+.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
• Willingness to participate in international meetings outside normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop specifications for electrical components used in chiller systems.
• Analyze test data to evaluate performance and compliance with design requirements.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to review project progress.
• Develop, integrate, and support electrical subsystems and control panels for HVAC chillers.
• Direct engineering personnel in fabrication of test control apparatus and determine testing procedures.
• Support troubleshooting, commissioning, validation in lab, manufacturing, and field environments.
