Job summary

AtWork Group is recruiting a Direct Hire Electrical Engineer for a position in Kalamazoo, MI. The role involves designing and sourcing electrical components for chiller systems, creating wiring diagrams, and performing system-level programming to meet specifications.

The candidate will work closely with operations, engineering, sales and quality teams to drive product development, process improvements and cost savings, while ensuring high-quality solutions for customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• 3–7 years of experience in design and/or development.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of UL, CE, CSA, NEC and NFPA codes is a plus.
• HVAC/Refrigeration systems experience or fluid controls is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of PLC Programming and/or industrial controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop or source all electrical components for the chiller system and sub-systems.
• Create and maintain all wiring diagrams.
• Perform module and system level programming to meet requirements.
• Lead cross-functional teams with operations, engineering, sales and quality groups.
• Recommend and implement process changes for productivity, quality and cost savings.
• Implement design standardization across products and platforms.
