Job summary

The Judge Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and test electrical systems for advanced transportation and infrastructure projects in Bastrop, TX. The role emphasizes medium- and high-voltage power distribution, power electronics, automation, and cross-disciplinary integration.

You will work with mechanical, software, and civil teams to create robust electrical design, review SLDs and schematics, and participate in commissioning and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in medium- and high-voltage power systems.
• Hands-on experience with transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, motors and motor control, and power distribution equipment.
• Strong analog and digital circuit design skills.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety practices and high-voltage systems.
• HV safety training and/or arc-flash certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test electrical systems for transportation and industrial infrastructure projects.
• Support DAQ, power electronics, and control systems development using custom and COTS solutions.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and civil teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Develop and review power distribution architectures, SLDs, and electrical schematics.
• Participate in system commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance validation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and industry best practices.
