Job summary

FieldAI’s Irvine team develops embodied AI systems for robotics, combining perception, compute, and hardware to ship field-ready autonomous solutions. The Electrical Systems role spans power architecture, wiring, PCB design, and cross‑discipline collaboration to deliver robust, scalable electronics for real‑world deployments.

You will work across electrical, mechanical, sensor, and compute teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration, testing, and servicing in challenging field environments, with

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
• Experience designing and testing low‑voltage regulated power systems.
• Hands‑on design and integration of custom wire harnesses for robotics or automotive‑style systems.

Responsibilities

• Design regulated power systems including voltage rails, DC/DC converters, switches, fuses, and grounding schemes.
• Design and document robust wire harnesses for power and data lines, including shielding and strain relief.
• Create PCBs for power distribution, protocol bridging, and embedded control.
• Architect wired and wireless communication systems (Ethernet, USB, CAN, I2C, WiFi, 5G).
• Maintain system‑level power and bandwidth budgets. Ensure EMI/EMC robustness.
