Job summary

Upwing Energy, a leader in subsurface compressor systems, seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer in the United States to own the electrical design of the SCS and surface deployment systems. You will drive design, build, test, and validation across power electronics, controls, data communication, cooling, and site integration.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration, maintain BOMs and electrical drawings, validate systems against customer requirements, and mentor production and field teams while

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of industrial experience with at least 3 years in power electronics integration, motion control, turbomachinery or similar.
• Hands-on setup, operation and troubleshooting of complex electrical systems.
• Power electronics troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Modbus and signal level instrumentation preferred.
• Experience with motor controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and optimize the electrical design of the Subsurface Compressor System (SCS) and surface equipment for deployment.
• Own the design, integration, build, test and validation of deployment systems supporting core compressor units.
• Train production and field teams on product assembly and connection processes.
• Document electrical system configuration and user guides and procedures.
• Develop and document test setups and procedures; work with suppliers to optimize power electronics and motor designs.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts on electrical systems; field service support may be required.
