Job summary

Elveo, based in Chantilly, VA, is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and expand PCBAs and own the hardware development cycle from concept through bring-up.

You will collaborate with RF, RTL and software teams on pinouts, power distribution and clocking, and design boards robust for harsh environments and fast iteration.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering and hands-on experience with multilayer PCB schematic capture, layout and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Experience with multilayer PCB schematic capture and layout, board bring-up and testing.
• Experience designing systems for harsh environments (space, aviation, automotive).
• Experience with I2C, CAN, UART and other low-speed digital interfaces.
• Experience with EMI/EMC best practices.
• Basic experience writing FPGA RTL or microcontroller firmware.

Responsibilities

• Design multilayer PCBAs, incorporating EMI/EMC best practices and deployment in harsh environments.
• Ownership over the complete lifecycle PCB multi-layer design from schematic capture and layout through board bring-up and test
• Develop and analyze complex power trees.
• Collaborate closely with RTL and software teams to define pinouts, bank voltages, and clocking architectures that optimize PCB routing.
• Collaborate closely with mechanical teams on PCB enclosure and thermal design
